Mingas in concert!

As part of the celebrations for 13 years of creation of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries, CPLP (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tome and Principe and Timor Leste), the Embassies of Brazil and Portugal wants to invite you for the concert of Mozambican famous singer Mingas, discovered by Miriam Makeba.

In her 30-year career, Mingas is on tour in Europe and will be in Prague, accompanied by 3 musicians, after beeing part of the Mozambique Week in Berlin.

My new swimming suit

Two weekends ago I went to Zlute lazně, the Prague´s beach, and I was really surprised, or angry, or disappointed how the people behave living in a first world country. Me and my friend were using the normal, nice, sexy swimming suit, no long shorts until the knees, and if we wouldn´t be kind of relax guys that do not give a shit for the people, we could have really bad time, cause the people were looking at us, talking, showing us to the others, screaming and the worse part was when they started to take picture of us in our nice swimming suits. Hehehe

Funny is, nobody was looking to horror show of some women in topless and with their down part without shave.

Anyway, I have no problem to be the attention, so I will chose one swimming suit like those on the pictures, and of course, people will love it.

Ah, DO NOT FORGET THE SUMMER LESSONS IN JULY!

One more Brazilian party on July 25th at 7pm. Come and celebrate the Saint John's Day. Flavia Torga and Santiago Ferreira will play the best of Brazilian music. So, I guess this could be a good opportunity to meet up again, have some fun...and some drinks, and dance! The place is not that big but at least we stay closer hehehehhe

They will have typical Brazilian food:
Black beans and rice, shrimp stew , chicken pie and much more.

Santo Antonio Party

One more Brazilian event is coming this week. The Santo Antonio´s day is one of the 3 important day´s celebrations that happen every June in Brazil. It is mainly a party to dance forro and eat the typical north east Brazilian food.

And who will play? Mulata B... once again for how enjoyed last night and also for who do not know them yet. Forro is a Brazilian couple dance very charming and easy to learn it.

Great Moments:)

Good music, beautiful people, contagious atmosphere, and of course some little drinks… this is what makes a good party. Yesterday happened in K.U bar one incredible party, considering that was Tuesday and the people have to work today… ok, maybe some of you have a little Hannover but let´s say that was Worth it.

For the first time I saw people having a lot of fun with forro, a style of music and dance that mostly all of them haven’t heard before. This time even the police came to ask us to put the volume down, hehehehhe, of course, we did not!

And when everybody thought that was over, after the band stopped to play, Flavia Torga took some members of Batukatum and gave us a nice moment playing samba in a nice and energetic improvisation of drums. Was great!

And today I brought you some pictures from this amazing evening! And I can´t forget to thanks all the people who came and also the Alo Alo dancers for the beautiful energy during their performances and the band Mulata B, you are f... good!

Summer Workshops!

Hey there...Finally I come to confirm the workshops for this summer.

Come to join my lessons in July, this time the lessons wont be only Samba-axé, I´ve got the mood to teach you during this special workshops another Brazilian dances, as Maxixe, Gafieira, forro, Samba-funk ,zouk and Lambada.

Not enough? Ok, I also invited some another Brazilian teachers to be part of it,each lesson a different guest to give you a great experience with a lot of fun and energy.

Once again, K.U. Bar and the Samba dance group Alo Alo invites you to a Brazilian night. This time you will have the opportunity to listen the Brazilian music on the voice of the talented Thiago Ferreira, Brazilian singer that I guess many of you, living in prague, already know him.

So, you don´t need to wait until the weekend to have a little fun, right?

Brazilian Party at ROXY

Salsa or salsa? Well, samba! Yesterday I had one girl who visits my blog daily and she was having this dilemma: Should I go tonight for salsa or salsa? I told her that if we have more samba parties this menu could be richer. So, here I am to give you some choices.

28 of June Roxy will celebrate a Brazilian party with Tam-Tam Orchestra, drummers Tam-Tam Batucada and the group Capoeira Mandela. Tam-Tam Orchestra combine dominant rhythm with harmonic instruments and of course singing. Tam-Tam Batucada is purely Batucada, rhythmic performance. Brazilian samba, island rhythms of Cuba and West Africa complements the night.The event will take place at Roxy from 10:00 pm on June 28^th.

As you see, samba can also be an option for you!
