Hey all, let us start again?
Good music, beautiful people, contagious atmosphere, and of course some little drinks… this is what makes a good party. Yesterday happened in K.U bar one incredible party, considering that was Tuesday and the people have to work today… ok, maybe some of you have a little Hannover but let´s say that was Worth it.
For the first time I saw people having a lot of fun with forro, a style of music and dance that mostly all of them haven’t heard before. This time even the police came to ask us to put the volume down, hehehehhe, of course, we did not!
And when everybody thought that was over, after the band stopped to play, Flavia Torga took some members of Batukatum and gave us a nice moment playing samba in a nice and energetic improvisation of drums. Was great!
And today I brought you some pictures from this amazing evening! And I can´t forget to thanks all the people who came and also the Alo Alo dancers for the beautiful energy during their performances and the band Mulata B, you are f... good!
Salsa or salsa? Well, samba! Yesterday I had one girl who visits my blog daily and she was having this dilemma: Should I go tonight for salsa or salsa? I told her that if we have more samba parties this menu could be richer. So, here I am to give you some choices.
28 of June Roxy will celebrate a Brazilian party with Tam-Tam Orchestra, drummers Tam-Tam Batucada and the group Capoeira Mandela. Tam-Tam Orchestra combine dominant rhythm with harmonic instruments and of course singing. Tam-Tam Batucada is purely Batucada, rhythmic performance. Brazilian samba, island rhythms of Cuba and West Africa complements the night.The event will take place at Roxy from 10:00 pm on June 28th.
Alo Alo and Batukatum once again will perform together, this time will be at Free-D-Bar.

Flavia Torga is a Brazilian percussionist who founded the group Batukatum in Prague, the biggest Carnival spirit Band around here. Batukatum play a wide range of Brazilian rhythms, including samba. Drummer is accompanied by Thyago Ferreira, singing and playing the Cavaquinho. To be part of this atmosphere, the Brazilian Samba Dance Group ALO ALO with the choreographer and teacher Márcio Slam, will join the event to make things more colourful and unforgettable.

Until we do not have any news from the Prague carnival, let me just let you know that during the summer a lot of cities around the world is celebrating the carnival parades. Some weeks ago, Amsterdam did great, and last weekend also Denmark and San Francico.
If you are planning to go to Finland,19th Helsinki Samba Carnival will take place in June 12th-4th. The Finnish samba schools (nowadays total 7) are having their major happening during weekend including Finnish Championship competition with high class Rio style parades (5 participating this year). In between you'll find all kinds of carnival groups like capoeiristas, Sambic, salsa dancers, visiting samba group from Sweden etc. All together there will be almost 1500 participants on the street and number of audience exceeds 30000. In Fri and Sat evening there will be great Bailes of Carnivals presenting shows and a lot of partying. HSC is one of the biggest free, open air happenings in Helsinki and it's been elected 2006 in the TOP50 festivities of Europe.
The Carnival in Prague is too far to be one of the biggest in Europe but does not mean that is not good and we cannot have fun!Let us wait the news to see what the carnival will bring us this year.
