Hey people over there, please, stop to die!

Fred Mercury asked in one of his songs: Who wants to live forever? And I definitely do, at least I would like to, but seems to be impossible. But some people came to this world to do big things and do not die. Do you really believe that Elvis Presley has died, or Marilyn Monroe? And we saw just the kind of pop Michael Jackson passing away. Do you dare if he is going to live forever? I do not!

Pina Bausch, the German choreographer known for her pioneering work, died Tuesday, June 30th. Just over a week, Pina Bausch yet risen to the stage of the Theater of Wuppertal, with her dance company that she directed since 1973. Five days she had known that was suffering from cancer. She died with 68 years old. The choreographer was one of the great artists who changed the course of the dance in the 20th century, dancer and for history, she will always be alive!

In case you have not seen the movie "Speak with her" from Pedro Almodovar, you probably remember on the beginning of the movie he shows one ballet in one café, called Café Müller, is that on one of the most famous and important of the ballet 20th century, and its from Pina Bausch.

So, he is some of her pictures, and before our time comes, let's live, let's celebrate this life and all the beauty and love that are around us.

Flavia Torga is a Brazilian percussionist who founded the group Batukatum in Prague, the biggest Carnival spirit Band around here. Batukatum play a wide range of Brazilian rhythms, including samba. Drummer is accompanied by Thyago Ferreira, singing and playing the Cavaquinho. To be part of this atmosphere, the Brazilian Samba Dance Group ALO ALO with the choreographer and teacher Márcio Slam, will join the event to make things more colourful and unforgettable.

On ne se connait pas encore mai

A Brazilian contemporary dancer will be performing in Prague in few days. With Choreography of Thomas Lebrun and directed by Giselle Tápias, Flávia Tápias is an unusually gifted Brazilian dancer - a genuine natural talent. In her solos, she does not rely on her characteristic movement expression; she also combines it with video screening and a rich variety of sounds.

The performance will take place at Ponec Theatre on June 24^th and 25^th at 8 pm. Flávia will show us the piece On ne se connait pas encore mai and will be shown another 2 pieces in the same night, a group from Cyprus and another from Spain.

Well, for sure I will be there, it is not everyday that a Brazilian contemporary dancer are performing in Prague. I do not know her, do not know if she lives in Brazil and from where she got her dance education and experiences, I just see on the pictures that she has Carmen Miranda as inspiration, at least in the way she is dressing. Do you know who Carmen Miranda was? NO? Howwwwwwww is possible.... so, Let you know soon about her.

Decisions!

One of the things we all have to do during our lifetime is to take decisions. Even sometimes we do not have any choice, I believe we can take decision from the point we have been forced to be at the moment we could not decide a shit. And then we ask: SO, NOW WHAT?

Now, from my side, I am taking my decisions, my choices, like mostly all the time I did. I did not choose to be a dancer, the dance has chosen me, I just decided to accept the fact and keep doing what I suppose to do. Now I am thinking about what to do from now after all I have done and really thinking to back to my basis, to bring back to my life and body the contemporary dance that I also belong to.

I still have a lot to say and writing a blog for God knows who is not all. The body language is bigger then my words, and the truth is, I can not wait that long to decide cause than my body will not respond anymore. I have to blame with myself and just do it now and here, not stay only disappointed because the city I live has not developed contemporary dance, comparing to the other places in Europe and comparing with all I have seen and done.

So I hope I can go on with my decision, and I do not know how long can take to make it happen, but please, take my feel words and look to yourself now, are you doing what you have to do? Are you taking your decisions right on time? If you did not... just do it now, do not wait tooooooooo long for that.

Dance

I dance since I was 8 years old, so I do not know how is to live without dance... I am dancing even when I am not moving, because I am use to see the things as a dancer, to admire things as a dance, to think always as a choreographer and see movement in everything.

I can live without dance of cause, everybody can get use to anything... I just do not know if I could be happy without dance. The dance is not my life even I spent my whole life doing that. Dance is a big part of me.

I did not choose to dance... I just chose to keep dancing ... and when I stop will not be for sure my choice.
